Take the Pan-American Highway towards the city of Alajuela, passing by the international airport, the Juan Santamaría Monument, and the famous Mango Park. As we ascend, we will notice a change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations, ferns, flowers, and strawberries, creating a beautiful array of colors and textures.
We will continue our journey to La Paz Waterfalls. Upon arrival, we will walk along a beautiful trail that leads to various attractions within the park, including the aviary, the largest butterfly observatory in the country, the hummingbird gallery, the serpentarium, and the exhibits of frogs, monkeys, and felines. A delicious lunch awaits us in the heart of the forest. After lunch, we will take a hike through the forest and visit the impressive natural waterfalls formed by the La Paz River.
It is important to note that this hike takes place in the tropical rainforest and includes steps in some sections. The trail is paved.
